Technology - The metaverse is a medium- to long-term theme

■   The "metaverse" refers to a set of augmented, virtual reality (AR/VR) technologies that will allow people to interact in a shared, immersive 3D virtual world through the internet. 

■   The metaverse concept has attracted market attention recently since the listing of Roblox, and it has become hotter since Facebook founder said he has high expectations for it.

■   Chinese players such as Tencent and ByteDance are devoting resources and moving towards the metaverse.

■   Four major types of technologies are fundamental and essential to the metaverse: 1) AR/VR/full body tracking and sensing, 2) 5G and Wi-Fi 6, 3) higher computing power, and 4) core algorithms.
